John Travolta stars as Tony, king of the Brooklyn discotheque. While dancing makes him feel like a million bucks, Tony ultimately struggles with his inability to escape the realities of his urban life: a dead-end job, clashes with his unsupportive and squabbling parents, racial tensions and his gang of macho friends.
